Originating from a humble food stall in the heart of Singapore in the 1950s, Pin Wei has been shaped by three generations of passion, perseverance, and pride — individuals who devoted their lives to the art of traditional handcrafted cuisine.

Carrying forward the legacy of his father and grandfather, Eddy Tan has spent nearly his entire life perfecting the craft of handmade Chee Cheong Fun. His dedication has been recognized by the Michelin Guide, and his creations have even been served at the tables of distinguished world leaders.

French President Enjoys Pin Wei Rice Rolls

During his official visit to Singapore, French President Emmanuel Macron took time to visit Lau Pa Sat — one of the city’s most iconic street food destinations — and experience Pin Wei’s signature handcrafted Hong Kong-style rice rolls.

From humble beginnings, Pin Wei has been honored with recognition in the Michelin Guide. Today, having our rice rolls enjoyed by a head of state is both a tremendous privilege and a meaningful milestone that inspires us to continue preserving and elevating the essence of traditional cuisine.
